We present a finely sculptured Bronze statue after C.B.Aibert. The Bronze cast is of excellent quality and has a beautiful brown patina.The statue has the foundry stamp " J.B. Bronze Garantie Paris" Mounted on the base. The sculpture pictures the centaur Nessus while abducting Deianeira. The Centaur is a mythological figure and is on one hand human and on the other hand horse. Because of the half animal, half human being, the Centaur is mentioned as a creature with two natures. The statue is in excellent condition, without chips, cracks or restoration of any kind. High quality Bronze material and casting. The Bronze is dated at the first decades of the 20th century.
