Vienna Bronze figure modelled and cast as a deer,signed Otto Jarl ,dated 1905

This is an important Vienna Bronze figure crafted by the well known Bronze sculptor Otto Jarl( 1856-1915).He was born in Uspala/Sweden, began his studies in Stockholm and moved later to Vienna where he changed to animal sculpture.Otto Jarl is best known for his fine animal sculptures. This sculpture of a deer is very fine and detailed crafted.It is very expressive in movement and facial expression. The Bronze is cold painted in a beautiful gold brown tone. The Bronze figure is standing on a rectangular Bronze base on which a plaque with the dedication to a Viennese choir member is fixed. The Bronze figure is signed "Jandl" and dated 1905. The item is in perfect condition.
