Antique Russian Icon depicting Christ Pantocrator. The Iconic image of Christ Pantocrator( "Christ Ruler of All" ) was one of the first images developed in the early Christian church and remains a central Icon of the Eastern Orthodox church. Christ holds the New Testament in his left hand and makes a gesture of blessing with his right. The quality of this Icon is very fine and detailed with beautiful facial painting. The whole background of the Icon is painted with gold leaf and has fine engravings if Lilies. The Icon is in perfect condition and dated at the 19th century. Length: 6.7"(170mm) Width: 5.5."(140mm)
