Antique and rare Micro Mosaic frame with an authentic holy picture of the Holy Virgin , early 19th century
This is a very rare Micro Mosaic frame depicting blue and rose flowers and leaves.In the right upper corner "Venezia" is written. The tesserae are tiny and smooth to the touch and are in excellent condition.In the right upper corner some tiny tesserae are missing. The frame is sold together with an authentic holy picture of the Madonna and the Christ Child crafted in Byzantine style.It is fine and detailed crafted with gold leaf as background. The frame cannot be opened.The frame is in excellent condition and a very rare object. It is dated at the early 19th century.
