Rare Roman Micro Mosaic paperweight depicting a beautiful butterfly in yellow and white colours. The work is of finest quality and craftmanship. The tesserae are of extremely small size and are hardly noticeable with the eye. They are smooth to the touch and in perfect condition, there is no damage of any kind. The artist used tesserae of mother perl for the white dots which gives the Micro Mosaic a unique outlook.The Micro Mosaic which has a beautiful blue border is set in a black marble plaque.
