Antique Russian Icon of St. Nicholas "The Miracle-worker".The Icon is an example of great detail and excellent craftmanship. In the center there is St. Nicholas, wearing a red garment which is decorated with flowers. In the left upper corner there is God All mighty,sitting on a cloud and on either side there are two Saints. The main colour of this Icon is a vivid red.The whole background is made of gold leaf. Remarkable is the detail and beauty of the Saint´s face. On the left side the colour has vanished on some spots. The Icon was painted tempera and gold leaf on wood.
