Signed Darry's and dated 1926, this is a fantastic Art Deco portrait of a lady in Indian costume, wearing an abundance of jewels and pearls, and smiling shyly.
The portrait is colorized with hand watercolor, while the background is all done with pastel.
The piece is exotic, but also VERY poetic,

The lady's make up is typical Art Deco, and so is the profusion of pearls, a must during the flapper era.
The piece was found in Paris, and it may have been an early Bollywood actress who came to Paris to work for the French studios of the time
