Modern (and Antique) drawings are in!
This is a French Art Deco original drawing from the 1930s, and a totally unique composition showing music being played and a fun Jazz band called "les Gais Lurons".
The Lurons wear the typical shirt of the time with square shoulders, hair styled with gel and show a lot of musical impetus.
The selection of musicians is quite interesting:
There are 2 trumpets, 2 violins, a banjo, a xylophone and last but not least, a conductor.
A rare piece to keep very preciously!
(shadows not in the piece)
CONDITION: In very good condition. No damage. Slight darkening of the paper with age. Hardly any foxing.
MEASUREMENTS: Length: 11". Width: 8".
( 28 cm) by ( 20.5 cm)

Antique (and modern) drawings are in. The trend started about 2 years ago, took off with the attraction for French Academic nude drawings, and is not showing any signs of abating. It is a definitely a good time to acquire these pieces. Drawings make delightful transitions between paintings in a home, and reinforce the refinement of any Art collection.
