Enhanced with hand watercolor, this is an amazing French print from the mid 19th Century (circa 1860) representing a spectacular hairdo from the time of Marie Antoinette.

The lady's face is just exquisite and her aristocratic hairdo, which is described in details in the page of text that comes with the piece, includes a powdered wig with a cascade of curls, pheasant and ostrich feathers, and ribbons gathered with a jewel at the front on the hat, and worked in cockades and cut outs.
The title says:"Coiffure Louis XVI". Louis XVI being the King of France at the time and Marie Antoinette's husband.
A rare print which will bring elegance and prestige to any decor!
MEASUREMENTS: Length: 10 1/2". Width: 7".

CONDITION: In very good condition. No foxing. Off white paper is very clean. Minor restorations at the 4 binding spots along the left edge. Little visible. (See pic)
