This is just a half bonnet, but it is from the earlier half of the 18th Century, circa 1740, English very likely, and extraordinary.
A woman's bonnet, it is made of a rustic beige hemp fabric with a subtle brocade motif, and is adorned with colored floral embroideries in yellow, small metallic sequins, and a profusion of 3D metallic stars, daisies, roses and other decorative flowers: some silver tone, some ruby and some emerald.
The shape of the bonnet is simple, with a wind flap at the bottom as was the fashion then.
A totally unique piece, extremely rare! by far better in real than on the pics, and that will look really prestigious in a frame.
MEASUREMENTS: Total Length: 9 1/2". Largest Width: 6".
CONDITION: Particularly good for its 250 years. Still sturdy. Again a half bonnet. No lining left.
Will be shipped "Expedited" from Paris including online tracking (US, Canada, Europe) insurance and signature at delivery.
