An antique ivory etui decorated with gold and silver pique. The box has been beautifully detailed on the top and all four sides with floral work. The top is most stunning with a large basket brimming with flowers. A visual treat for the eyes. Inside are two small compartments with lids; each decorated with silver and gold pique. The inside of the top lid shows traces of an attachment; which would indicate a mirror was part of the etui at some point.
A ladies box or etui for personal items. Most likely owned by a lady of means due to the expense of the materials used for the box.
