A set of twelve large dinner knives in .950 silver by Puiforcat. The set measures 10 inches in length with weight being 830 grams. Grand in size and scale the set comes in a presentation case. Each knife is monogrammed with "RB" along with the presentation case. Acanthus leaves and Bell-flower motifs are used in a restrained crisp design.
Made by the prestigious firm of Puiforcat; the set bears the punch for Emile Puiforcat. Paris (1857-1927) and the French Minerve mark denoting .950 silver. Measurements; 10 inches long, approximately 69 grams each for a total of 830 grams
Condition report; very good silver handles have surface scratches in accordance with age and use. The several steel blades do show areas of darkening/corrosion. The blades may be replacements; however, not recent. Presentation box shows wear and the catch is missing on the latch. Inside of box is in good condition.
