Tarentum custard glass Tiny Thumbprint green Eapg Victorian creamer
This antique opaque green tint 'custard' glass cream pitcher is The Eapg glass Pattern called "Tiny Thumbprint", And was made by Tarentum Glass Co. of Tarentum, PA, Circa 1904. The pattern consists of a single row of very tiny thumbprint type indentations all around the lower portion, near the base. It measures approx. 2 1/2 inches tall X 3 inches across the top scalloped rim including spout X 2 inches across the ring base with impressed starburst design. This antique creamer is in Remarkable condition, with NO chips or cracks, just the usual charming characteristics of Victorian era glass, such as a few typical surface annealing lines. Quite a bit of the original gold highlights remain around the scalloped rim, as well. This may have been a 'souvenir' item at one time, as many were, however it appears to be a plain piece, which is somewhat rare.
This Tarentum antique custard glass is a light shade of 'pea' green and glows very brightly under uv blacklight! A Lovely antique custard glass item - hard to find in this condition! It is quite aDoRabLe!
