Victorian art glass shakers, Dithridge custard "Leaf covered base" salt pepper

This Beautiful, antique Victorian art glass / custard glass Salt & pepper Shaker set was made by Dithridge Glass Co., Circa 1899. This Dithridge Glass design is called 'Leaf-Covered Base', and is a very collectible, somewhat scarce pattern. These are fabulous, mold-blown, opaque glass Victorian shakers - with each shaker shaped in two bulbous sections - the larger base section has rows of finely detailed, overlapping leaves, and the top section has a finely ribbed texture. The glass is a creamy, ivory colored custard glass. Each sweet, antique shaker measures 2 3/4 inches tall with lid X 2 1/2 inches across the widest part of the lower section. In Excellent condition! The aluminum lids (probably newer replacements) are in good condition with some spots of minor corrosion. A GorgeOuS Victorian Art glass shaker set! ** Slight roughness around the rim under the lid is a proper condition for these antique mold blown shakers - this is where the shaker was snapped off of the pontil rod - and a sign that they are truly antique!
