This sensational antique *tumbler - or possibly spooner - is the eapg pattern called 'Column Block', also known as 'Panel & Star' made by the O'hara Glass Company, Circa 1890 -1900. This high-quality, heavy glass spooner, or tumbler, is bright, sparkling clear glass with a pattern of deeply pressed block, panel, and star details. This interesting eapg spooner / tumbler shape is more square, not entirely round, with flattened corners, and the base is somewhat raised, or indented 1/4 of an inch, with a crisp 'Daisy & Button' type design embossed on the bottom. This O'hara glass spooner is a real tReAsuRe - and quite scarce! Measures nearly 4 inches tall X 2 7/8 inches across the top rim and the base. In Very Good to Excellent Condition with NO chips or cracks - only very, very minor rough spots on the bottom edge, to be expected and consistent with age. This antique glass glows a strong yellow-green under uv blacklight to further verify age. ** I suspect it may have been intended as a spooner, due to the shape, the indented base, and, since it is quite thick and heavy - but I am not entirely sure. It is DiVine - no matter what you wish to use it for!
