This is a Gorgeous antique Victorian cranberry glass ‘Barber’ bottle with Optic panels on the interior and a smooth shiny exterior. These beautiful bottles - in a variety of shapes and colors - graced the shelves of Barber Shops in the early 1900’s. Lovingly formed of fine antique blown glass, in a Marvelous Cranberry color glass, with a very rough pontil on the slightly flared, small pedestal shaped base. This Wonderful antique Cranberry glass, optic pattern, barber bottle has a slightly round, bulbous body, a long neck rolled at the ‘shoulder‘, and a flared lip. Measures 7 inches tall X 4 inches across the widest point of the body X 2 ¾ across the base. In Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or haze. This bottle Does have the usual characteristics of Victorian-made antiQue glass, including tiny bubbles inside the glass from time of manufacture ( a couple are larger: 1/16 to 1/8 inch ) Which add much to the cHaRm of this Fabulous old bottle! I can picture this antique bottle as a SweEt vase holding a bouquet of fresh, colorful wildflowers!
