Hartland Baseball Figure Pittsburgh Pirates Dick Groat c.1958

This is an Original Hartland Figure, made between 1958 and 1962, marked on back at waist "© Hartland Plastics, Inc."

Of the 18 Baseball Players Hartland made, Dick Groat is the hardest to find, since only about 10,000 of Groat were produced, compared to about 150,000 each for most of the others.

Figure is hard plastic, standing about 7¾" tall, Original Paint with some minor paint rubs at elbows, forearms, hands and right cheek. Area on back of belt look (where figure is marked) is stained from marker or ink. Also a black stain on hand where bat handle would have been.

The yellow trim has worn some on the back number 24, but still intact around Pirates on front of jersey. The white areas have aged to an even, off-white ivory color but not yellow.

He stands on his own and has no noticeable warping, cracks or other serious issues.

He is missing his bat, (replacements are sold online from various venues at around $10 to $15)
