An amazing set of pins from the 1967 Trifari pet series. This set is made up of figural pet pins such as the owl, lion, dog, cat, horse, and butterfly. Each of these six pins is composed of a gold plated metal foundation which is covered in white enameling as well. All of these creatures also has raised dots that are colored with a blue enameling that looks so beautiful. All the creatures also have green glass cabochons for eyes and red enameling that forms the nose, mouth, and claw sections. The back of each pin is signed "Trifari" within a rectangle cartouche with a crown above the signature and an ad in Harper's Bazaar magazine features the pins in it from 1967 with there respective animal voice. The owl says "whhooooo" and measures 2" long by 1 1/2" wide. The dog says "woof-woof" and measures 2 1/8" long by 1 1/2" in width. The cat says "meeooww" and measures 2 1/4" long by 1 1/2" wide. The butterfly says "flutter flutter" and measures 2 1/8" long by 1 3/4" wide. The lion says "rrroarrrr" and measures 1 7/8" long by 1 3/4" wide and the horse says "whinneee" and measures 2 3/8" long by 1 3/4" wide. These pins are in excellent condition and although they would be just fine by themselves I just can't bare the thought of separating them. An incredible set of 1967 Trifari creature pins from the pet series.
