We are pleased to present this gorgeous 1937 design from Monet Jewelers in the Hindu Bells pattern, with both a double-strand bracelet and double-strand necklace. The bracelet has the older Monet Jewelers hang-tag; the necklace has an oval 'Monet' hang-tag.
The pieces have embossed gold balls with a flower design. The balls are 16mm in size. The chains are thick cable-type links. The clasps are heavy spring-rings. The bracelet measures 7 7/8" in length and the necklace measures 16 3/4" on the shorter strand.
They are in outstanding condition for their age, with very little plate wear and no missing balls. The bracelet is a shinier gold than the necklace; we have two other necklaces and they are all the same shade of gold. Apparently, the bracelet was never worn. The necklace balls have light plate wear.
The design is shown in a matte page in Alice Vega's book, "Monet: The Master Jewelers" on page 80. The date for the ad is 1937.
