1860s Extraordinary Mid Victorian Watch Chain & Fob, Rolled Rose Gold!

Offering this most extraordinary mid-Victorian watch chain and fob with a rolled rose gold set intaglio cameo, Grecian motif! This piece is awesome, it has tiny rubies and opal accent stones on the rose gilt finding of the centerpiece. It also has delicately etched designs on the endcaps. This chain measures 12" long and was intended to be worn with a watch vest and pocket. There would be a hook for the "T" Bar which secured the watch chain and allowed the decorative fob to hang over the vest, the watch was in a special pocket. This is the most fabulous example of this type of watch chain I have ever seen! Circa 1850s - 60s.
