Antique Porcelain Staffordshire Figural Whistle
Cutest ever figural whistle made in the late 1800s. It features a child wearing a dressing gown, and trying on Father's top hat. The top hat forms the whistle, which has a rich, lovely tone. It is 4 inches tall, and in wonderful condition for it's 120+ years. There is some roughness, under the paint, on the rim, and the brim of the top hat. To me it looks like it came from the factory this way, but I am not 100% sure that the hat hasn't been repainted some time over the years. The bottom has a little sticky residue that I believe is from earthquake putty (quite common her in California!)
