Vintage Key Wind Tin Lithograph Walking Bear J Chein Co.

1950's tin wind up toy with built in key. Wind him up, and he waddles along. It was made in the U.S.A. by J Chein & Company in the early 1950s. The colors are bright, and although he works well, he's far from perfect. I've included a lot of photos to best describe condition. There is some paint loss, primarily to his feet, and the back side of his blue pants. There is a cut in the tin on his nose. Odd, because there are no indentations, or other damage from whatever could put a cut there. Still, a cutie pie, at a bargain price. He measures 4&3/4 inches tall.

I currently have several tin toys, including cars and transportation vehicles in my shop, including Marx, Chein and Lupor, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them all, type the word, "Tin" in the search box at the top of this page.

If you are ordering more than one item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
