1920's General Store Candy Jar Counter Display Stand

Large, ribbed glass candy jar with its original, screw on metal lid. The glass is amazing. It has the typical few manufacturing bubbles, but NO chips, or cracks. There is some minor roughness around the inside rim. There is an "S" embossed on each side of the jar. On the bottom is a patent applied for date of 1924. It measures 8&1/2 inches tall, by 7 inches wide, and 6&1/2 inches deep. The metal lid screws on perfectly, and fits tightly. As you can see in the photos, most of the paint is gone. No dents....just wear from being exposed to the elements. The three footed, metal stand is round, and the the jar is slightly more oval. I'm not sure if it's original to the jar, as it has no marks. The jar fits, and the shape allows the jar to stand upright if used for pickles etc., or tilted for candy. The stand is 2&1/2 inches tall. I can see this on the counter of any country store, or neighborhood market. A wonderful piece of nostalgia, and a great decorator piece. I apologize for the high shipping, but the jar, alone, weighs over 3 pounds, before packing.
