Lovely Victorian Figural Wall Matches Holder

Just beautiful, antique bisque match holder that features 2, three dimensional Victorian figures. Each holds a basket, for holding matches. The baskets are also strikers. There are no labels, or marks. My personal assessment is that this piece was made in Germany, circa 1900. It measures 4&1/2 inches wide by 7 inches tall. Although bisque, there is a porcelain finish around the fancy, ornate, gold accented edge that makes a striking, but subtle contrast. It's in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, paint loss or repairs. You can see in the photos that there are a couple of flaws to the finish on the back. They look like hairlines, but most certainly occurred during the firing process. This is a heavy, quality made piece.
