Because of the faux tortoise shell plastic that this is made of (pre bakelite), I would date it to the 1930's.. As if it isn't outstanding enough as just a dresser box, the lid has a plastic, easel back that allows you to stand it up. It's good size, measuring 7&3/4 inches long, by 5 inches deep, and 2 inches tall. On the top, is decorative, molded plastic, with a Cupid, or cherub, and amazingly, it's in excellent condition, with no missing chunks. The mirror is perfect, and I'm happy to report that the fragile, plastic easel stand is also perfect, and gently snaps into place. There are a couple of minor dings and scuffs on the sides of the box, but nothing major. In one of my photos, it looks like the top and bottom are slightly different colors, but they're not. It's just the lighting.
