These hula girl nodders were sold as souvenirs to tourist who visited the Hawaiian Islands in the 1940's through 1960's. This one is 7 inches tall, and a bit of a leaner! I put a small piece of folded cardboard between 2 of the springs, and she straightens right up, but I wanted to photograph her "au natural". No chips, cracks, dings or repairs. She does have a scuff (black mark) on her left hand, and one on her right forearm. Her "grass skirt" is more like fine straw than some, which are silky. She was not made with a magnet on the bottom. The original foil sticker is intact on the bottom, "Exclusive BP Japan".
I currently have several pieces of vintage Hawaiiana in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping. You can see them all by typing the word, "Hawaiian" in the search box at the top of this page.
