Mettoy Tin Lithograph Police Car Flywheel Motor With Box

Neat vintage toy police car that was made in Great Britain by Mettoy Playthings. Circa 1950's, it measures 6 inches long, and 2&1/2 inches wide. Deep blue metallic paint is in great shape. Note that the driver is on the right hand side. Oh, those Britts! Originally, there was a siren on the top of the car, but it's gone now. Otherwise, it's in very good condition, with only minor wear, as shown in the photos. The flywheel motor works like a champ! You press down and push it a few inches, and it takes off on its own. As for the box....it's seen better days, but displays well, and is hard to come by. It's actually not so bad, but one end flap is missing, and "8/11" is written in pencil on 2 sides.
