Fabulous set of footed and pierced sterling bouillon bowls with Lenox liners. The service for 8 is in excellent vintage condition. The sterling is a classic design; simple, elegant and versatile. These bouillon soups will get along well with any other service. Similarly, the Lenox liners are pure and clean. The liners are a warm ivory color with an opalescent interior and gold rim. The only flaw is a small area of loss to one of the rims; of gold, not of porcelain. There are no chips, flakes or cracks. Some of the Lenox liners have different gold edges (the pictures show the very slight variance). The Gorham pattern number is A5547; there is no date mark. The pattern and the set are likely in the 1930-1960 age range. All pieces are marked. All the sterling is flawless. Great gift, great addition to your holiday service, great fun.
Dimensions: Sterling bowls 5 1/8" long, 3.5" diameter and 2" tall. Weight is 58 grams. The Lenox bowls are 2" X 4". Marks: Each sterling bowl marked for Gorham, the pattern and "Sterling". This is .925 parts silver. The porcelain bowls all have "Lenox" marked on the bottom.
