Antique Ormolu & Porcelain Clock Decorated w Amazing Flowers Bird

Late 19th Century French Clock standing tall at 8". The scrolling ormolu base supports a nesting porcelain bird, wreathed in a colorful array of magnificent porcelain flowers. Above the base the clock rises on ormolu verdure, and is itself wreathed with additional porcelain blossoms. The flowers are superb. Each one is unique and lavishly painted in fine detail. The quality of this piece exhibited in the exceptional artistic achievement we observe in the porcelain floral bouquets. A rare piece, remarkably preserved. There are some minor chips on some blossoms. While difficult to discern in the abundance of fine detail among the floral profusion, these small flaws can be found. Considering the abundance of fine delicate details it's something of a miracle that each flower remains at all, let alone largely intact. Clearly, this piece was well cared for; a cherished timepiece. I know nothing about the working mechanism of the clock. The key is missing; although I understand these to be standardized and easy to acquire. This piece is one of a large collection of antique ormolu and porcelain pieces, numerous lamps. From the same collection, a fine array of framed ivory miniature portraits. I'll be listing them as quickly as I can. The entire collection as stunning as the clock.

Dimensions: 8" tall, 5.5" wide and 4.5" deep.
