Pair Antique Japanese Moriage Vases with Floral Motif
A lovely pair of antique Japanese Vases. The vases are hand painted and feature a Moriage design. Moriage is a technique where colored clay slip is used to outline or create raised decorations. This pair of vases are quite large with overall dimensions of 12 1/2" high, 6 1/4" across the handles and 4" in diameter at the base. Both vases are in very good overall condition. The only thing to note are 2 tiny beads missing from the handles and one small spot with an in the making rough spot which is hard to notice. The vases have glaze pops which is common to early Moriage. The pair would be perfect for a Sideboard, Server or Mantle, they have a wonderful decorative presence. Both are being offered for one price.
