Art Deco Era Guilloche Enameled Silhouette Locket
This Wonderful and Unusual Vintage Locket Is Thin and Flat In Design. Unmarked, The Locket Is Fashioned In Gold-Tone Metal. The Background Enameling Is A Very Pretty Pale Yellow Color. The Ebony Colonial Bust Is In Profile Facing Left. Our Lovely Lady Wears A Bonnet On Her Head, Ribbons Trailing Along Her Slender Neck.
The Unique Silhouette Locket Opens South To North From The Back and Is Hinged At The Top. The Inside On The Back Of The Door Has A Satin Finish Like Jewelry Finished In An Acid Bath. You Can See The Guilloche Pattern and Image Of Woman On The Inner Compartment. There Are No Bezels Inside. The Quaint Locket Is In Very Good Condition. Light Surface Scratches Are Apparent On The Black Enameling and On The Back Which Are Consistent With Use Of A Previously Enjoyed Collectible. Of Note, There Are Darkened Areas To The Enameling Which You May Note In Photographs, These Much More Apparent In Magnifications Of Photo Close-Ups.
