French Marble Alabaster Bust of Saint Joan of Arc

This bust of Saint Joan of Arc has been recently acquired from a North Shore estate in the Chicagoland area. Joan of Arc is the young heroine who lived in 1400's France. She was canonized by the Roman Catholic church in 1920. This late 19th to early 20th century bust is carved from alabaster and marble and is titled on the front of the base: Jeanne D'Arc. There are some chips on the corners of the base and a few flea bites to the back of the sculpture. There is nothing that detracts from the beauty of this piece.

The measurements are as follows:

7 1/4" high x 6 3/4" long x 3 1/2" deep
