This Art Nouveau napkin ring is one of the loveliest I've had the pleasure to own. It is decorated in raised relief with very ornate lilies and pansies. I am not a gardener, so that is an educated guess regarding the floral decoration. No matter what the flowers are they are depicted in that flowing manner that can only be attributed to the Art Nouveau period of design. They napkin ring is embossed on the exterior with the initials A.L.C. in script. The interior is marked sterling with a cursive L with a line running horizontally through the L. We believe this is the LaPierre sterling manufacturer. the napkin ring measures 1 1/4" high x 1 3/4" in diameter. There is a dent running the vertical length of the ring which is certainly more visible from the inside than the out, but it is there. Also a ding around the top edge. We have included detailed pictures. Please examine them carefully.
