The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. One of the greatest books ever written in my opinion and offered in two volumes. They have faded blue cloth covered boards and some wear to the top and bottom of the spines as shown in the photographs. The previous owner placed a tag on the interior of the cover with his name. There is an illustration prior to the title page of each book, one is of Dantes being flung through the air tossed from the prison. One of the cover sheets that protects the illustration is torn part way up. The books were published by A.L. Burt of New York and have no copyright date. They are in generally good condition and would make a great gift for a friend or to yourself.
