Makers Tag marked: Peck,Stow,and Wilcox Co. Southington,CT. Cast Iron frame has Raised lettering which reads as follows : "Small Turning * Patented Nov.12th,1867"
Basically a 19th Century Hand Crank Operated Turning Machine for Tin Sheet Metal.
Machine Measures 8 1/2 inches Long, or 12 1/2 inches Overall to end of Handle. Frame is 4 inches Wide, and 7 1/2 inches High to the top of the Tension adjuster.
Condition : Very Fine for a machine tool which would have had lots of use in it's long tool life. Retains most of it's original Black paint on the Cast Iron Frame !
Weighs 10 Pounds and 8 Ounces.
