Restored Original Coca-Cola Cast Iron Sign Base !

This Art Deco Stepped Base was Used in the 1930's to 40's for either the Policeman or the Double sided round Coca Cola Curb Sign.

Measures 21 3/4 inches in Diameter.

This is an Original cast Iron base, and not an Aluminum reproduction. See the original Casting information marks of the underside photos.

Professional Restoration included glass beading, repainting with original expensive paint colors, with an all hand painted Coca-Cola logos. (restoration cost was $220.00 alone)

Usage Ideas: You can Purchase a Safety Policeman newly lithographed on Tin, or the Coke Button or Bottle Cap Signs for display. (American Retro) I've even seen Round Glass Tables mounted on these bases with Pipe so you can see through the top while sitting at the table !!!

Condition : Glass Beaded Clean. Repainted with Proper Color of Coke Red & Raised Letters have been Hand Painted ! Note; Most 70 year old bases are unusable, this one is fully restored, and ready for an inside or outside pipe to be mounted. Enough exposed base pipe left to re-drill for a new Set Screw or Bolt & Nut.

Historical Notes : Hard to find 1930s Coca-cola cast iron Original Bases. This is the correct base for the 1930s and 1940s Porcelain Policeman or 2 sided Lollypop curb sign. Base was sandblasted and painted with Correct Coca Cola Paint Colors in March,2012. This can be used with many signs including policeman sign and Vendo coin changer. Pipe cut off at set screw hole height. Base is 22 inches in diameter. The Policeman top Sign would be as follows ; M520B Coca Cola with Policeman School Zone Sign. A circa 1950's policeman is demanding you to "Slow Down" for a School Zone! Policeman stands 63" High,and would be 30" wide from the outside edges and the cast iron base is 22" Diameter. The sign would be marked "A-M 1". The Policeman signs were given to schools for safer crosswalks before crossing guards were the standard.
