Civil War Period Tin Decorated Toleware Sugar with Covered Lid !!!
Handmade & Soldered by a Tinsmith Circa 1870's. An earlier Civil War Period example would have had a flat bottom construction, and a newer than 1880 would have been factory produced.
Top of Lid is Hand Decorated with a continuous Circular Wreath, and the sides have Triple Pin Stripping around.
Stands 4 inches High from base to top of lid finial.
Weighs 4.2 Ounces.
Condition : Paint shows Honest Wear Pattern without any major dents, and unpainted Tin surfaces have an aged Patina from long term exposure to touching & air !
