Rare Flat "Pocket Powder Horn" with Original Wood Stopper !!! Ca. 19th Century.

Rare Small Flat "Pocket Size Powder Flask" Horn with Original tight Wood Stopper !!! These Pocket versions never had outside hanging hardware. Also documented as being used as travel Salt Shakers by Civil War Soldiers !

Most likely Steamed and Pinched-Flat to form the Pocket Profile. Wood Plug End was nailed with minute nail brads, and the chip carved wood Plug has a Flat Tip for twisting leverage. Circa 19th Century.

Measures 3 1/4 inches long, and 2 inches at it's Widest end, and 3/4 inches thick.

Weighs exactly 0.4 Ounces.

Condition : Very nice Untouched example with original aged Patina, with No Bug holes !
