Choice of Sulphide Picture Hanger Nails Per Piece !!! Circa 1880.
Larger Round Mounted decorative Heads measures 1 1/8 inch in diameter, and the smaller ones are 7/8 of an inch in diameter.
Nail Shanks are 2 5/8 inches Long, down to 2 3/8 inches long. The shafts are 3/16 inches thick.
Material: Decorative Sulphide Heads un der clear Glass, mounted on Brass plaques, and the original Nail shafts are made of Steel.
Date: Circa 1880's
Condition: Excellent Condition with No Cracks or chips, except for (c) which has a fracture.
(a) Six pointed red Star with Black trim ring on brass plaque.
(b) SOLD.
(c) Black Maltese Cross or Iron Cross has a glass fracture.
(d) Nine pointed Green Star.
(e) Nine pointed Red Star.
(f) Six pointed Green Star
I would suggest that you drill a 1/8 inch pilot hole before hammering any picture Nail Shafts into a wood Picture Rail or Plaster Wall.
