Rare Staffordshire ABC Plate with "Falling Steeplechase Rider" Pattern Ca. 1800's !

Child's ABC plate with a Falling Derby Horse Racer !!! Rare 6 7/8" Staffordshire ABC plate. The plate has a picture of 2 jockeys on their horses jumping a wall in a steeplechase. One rider in the background has been thrown by his horse. The the one in the forefront will Win this race. Around the edge it has the embossed ABC's.

Produced by Staffordshire England in the 1800s. The scene depicts an old time horse race. The transfer printed in brown and then artist hand-painted with additional Colors, Red,Blue,Green. Raised Alphabet Letters on the Perimeter Edge.

Plate Measures : 6 7/8"

Condition : No edge chips. Overall it is an Rare & Unusual Child's Plate in great presentable condition which you don't see that often in a child's plate. Gentle glazing wear on front basin area. The plate has a small fracture under the glazing, just above the Letter "D" on the plate's edge. See last close-up photo of some old touch up on reverse at top.

Comes complete with the wall plate hanger as seen in the second photo.
