The "Paull's No. 0" Lantern with a Very Nice Enamel Green Paint. Pleasantly subtle Paneled top of Lantern Globe, See 4th photo, presumably for more prismatic Light effect. Original Black Plastic filler Cap with paper gasket. Patent dates Embossed on top of crown Reads as follows : July 29th,1890, and June 30th,1903. Paull's Wheeling,WV.(aka Nail City Lantern Co.& Wheeling Stamping Co.) produced Lanterns from 1897 up to 1946 before being bought out by Dietz.
Paull's 1936 catalog has the No. 0 Listed as a No. 140. (Collectable Lanterns, Printed by L-W Book Sales, Page 83) The "Leader" Models were stamped so, but this Model was only marked No.0.
Nice Medium sized lantern stands 13 1/2 inches from base to top of Tube, and 19 1/2 inches overall from base to top of Wire bail handle. 7 1/2 inches Wide at base of tubes. Base diameter is a stable 6 3/4 inches.
Weighs 2 Pounds and 1.3 Ounces.
Condition : Solid Metal, 95% Original Paint with normal wear in all the right places, with only a couple minor dings.
