Large Size 12 1/2 Inch Tall Free Blown Glass Apothecary Bottle with Blown / Molded Glass Stopper. Ca. 1860 with 2 small chips on Lip.
Two small chips on spout Lip, best seen in third photo.
The polished inside neck is perfectly matched with the polished outside of the perfect fitting Blown/Molded Stopper .
The stopper has an uneven bottom which is original due to it's blown molded production since it was where the blow pipe was snapped off.
Lots of Nice glass swirl with the bottom has a large primitive "pushed in" Iron Pontil mark.
Honest wear pattern on bottom. Some Residual Liquid Staining is evident near bottom, but I only used warm water to clean the interior. A laboratory person could try soaking it with acid.
From a de-accessioned museum collection.
Large Size Cylindrical Jar stands 12 1/2 inches tall from the base to the top of the stopper. 4 1/2 inches across base diameter.
Weighs a Hefty 2 pounds and 3.4 Ounces empty !
