U.B. Mutual Aid Society of Lebanon,Pa. Motto : "Protection for the Defenseless"

Ironically this Historical & Notable Insurance Company was the Company of Choice for the Infamous "Blue Eyed Six", of which 5 collaborators were Sentenced and Hung to Death for the single Murder of Joe Raber, another Lebanon County Resident and personal friend of the defendants. Killed for their Insurance Claim on this Victim !!!

Insurance Company was chartered in 1869 and Operated 26 years from 1870 to 1896.

The Lebanon,Pa. Based company building was located at 9th and the Railroad, with only one branch office in Harrisburg,Pa.

Included in this group are 2 actual 1875 dated life insurance policies for a husband and wife named "Jacob Altland & Lucy Altland" for One Thousand Dollars each. Both are Mounted opposing each other in the same double sided glass and Oak Picture Frame. Black matted and framed in a 17 X 21 1/4 oak period frame.

An actual 2 1/2 by 3 3/4 inch newspaper clipping stating the judicial closing of the company's holdings in 1896.
