This is a copyist version in oil of a pastel, that hangs in the Chapel of Washington & Lee University, in Virginia. Nicely done and much more affordable!! If you have always wanted to hang the General in your home or office, here he is!! The copyist signed this work R. Broderick. In great condition!! Measures as follows: outside frame 36" x 28" and canvas 29.75" x 23.25". So, it is quite large and " commanding". The frame is unpainted wood. I feel it would look better, if it were painted a dark, high gloss, color. As always, we welcome your questions.
