This is a beautiful example of a red transferware Ginger Jar. There is some age crazing, but no chips, cracks or damage otherwise. The pattern boasts butterflies, elegant birds and lovely flowers. I do not know the pattern name. It measures a bit over 6" tall and 5.50" at its widest. The saggar pin marks from hand stacking in the kiln can be seen. The Mark which states "England" dates it to between 1880's to approx. 1920. After that time the words Made in were added to export marks. Feel free to ask questions about this lovely piece..
