This is an English Beswick England horse and colt figural group titled Mare & Foal on Irregular Base. The date is circa 1949 to 1983.
I believe this is version two of this group, designed by Arthur Gredington. The mare is a chestnut brown with a black mane and tail. The foal is an orangey-brown bay with black mane and tail. The foal's back left hoof is set back and the tail hangs down. The finish is a gloss, not matte.
The figurine is about 7 ½" high, 8 ¾" long and 4 ¼" wide.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks. The underside bottom has crazing in the glaze.
The mark on the underside bottom is the two words Beswick England in a circle. There is another mark in black, which might be a number or a letter.
