We are pleased to offer this lovely antique glass bowl with mount by the William B. Durgin Company.
This divided centerpiece measures 8-1/4" across and 3-1/4" tall, with beautifully designed handles and an interesting star pattern in the glass, which is attributed to the Hawkes Company. Base is clearly hallmarked with clover and script "D" of Durgin.
The William B. Durgin Silver Company began creating utensils in 1853. These high end sterling silver pieces were originally made in Concord New Hampshire. They included flatware, hollowware, and centerpieces. A second factory was constructed in Providence Rhode Island that also produced high quality silver products. In 1905 the company was taken over by the Gorham Manufacturing Company.
This bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. It is certain to make the perfect addition to your collection.
