Vintage 1940s Retro Ruby Floral Band Ring 14K Rose/Yellow Gold
These wide bands, particularly set with rubies, were enormously popular through the 1940s. The ring is over 3/8 of an inch (10.5 mm) wide and it sports 12 natural faceted rubies. The background is a stunning rose gold with a basket weave design edged with a rose gold ribbon design. Upon it is a repeating design of raised yellow gold arabesques and stemmed ruby flower buds.
The ring is a size 5-7/8, but because of its width (10.5 mm), it wears more like a size 5-1/2 It cannot be sized without breaking the design. This gorgeous ring is fully marked 14K and with the Krasnow trademark. 6.6 grams/4.3 dwt.
From the estate of a retired jeweler, condition is excellent. It is as crisp and new as the day it was made some 60 to 70 years ago.
