Fabulous Vintage Sparkling Aqua Regency Bracelet & Earrings Set

The bracelet measures 7-1/4 inches long by ¾ of an inch wide. In it, are a total of 48 large rhinestones...chatons and navettes... in bright aqua and darker Capri blue ABs. This bracelet is often referred to as the "butterfly" bracelet and you can see that four of the rhinestone configurations do look like butterflies. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Regency made this to match those spectacular butterfly brooches that we love so much. The setting is gunmetal and the back is marked REGENCY in an oval cartouche. The clasp is a box insert and the release is embellished with an aqua baguette. There is a silver tone safety chain as well.

The clip earrings feature a large iridescent art glass cabochon surrounded by aqua chatons and navettes in plain and AB finishes. Also set in the gunmetal finish with the standard Regency clip backs. Unsigned.

I have often thought that Regency jewelry is under-appreciated. Although the company's history is obscure, its jewelry rivals the contemporary Jul*ana and Sherm*n jewelry in design, construction, and rhinestone quality and variety.

I purchased this set from a local estate many years ago...so including me, it has had only two owners. Condition is excellent with no problems to note.
