Thank you, Stephen.
This is a spectacular and large 19th century bas-relief Capodimonte Bronze Dore with porcelain casket from the famous Capodimonte of Naples,Italy.
Beautifully decorated with a gloriously hand-painted scene of putti with a frolicking goat in a beautiful pastoral setting, this is a wonderfully special casket made of the hard paste porcelain of early Naples that is fully marked with the Coronet (Crown) over the letter N for Naples.
It would have been set on a grand ladies dressing table and filled with her prized possessions, perhaps even a special love letter.
It's condition is excellent and well cared for with no breaks or repairs. Possessing a tight fitting bronze dore band that circles around it's lid with a lovely floral detailed clasp...ready for your treasures.
